The best birthday present!
Spending time with my daughter – I love her children, 3 of my gorgeous grandchildren, and spending time with them all, but I have to admit, I do miss the girlie times we had together before children came along – so today was precious.
We went to ‘Vivo’ and had a deliciously magnificent breakfast
amidst bizarre and shabby chic surroundings – so bad, it’s good!
junk shop pictures against the copied faded 60s wallpaper. I had almost the identical design on my bedroom wall in 1962/5 and I painted my chest of drawers orange with yellow drawers to go with it. (Thanks Mum for letting me do that!)
One of my daughter’s favourite artists is Edward Hopper, and this pose – Hopperesque – don’t you think?
and so, off to Bridport Arts Centre to see an exhibition …………
(wonderful day …to be continued)
