the need to knit

jumperKnitting was my first love – I learnt when I was 5.

Since I have been doing ripple festacres of crochet recently , and having just finished off a couple of projects like the Portland Ripple blanket, and Little Miss M’s bedspread (ta dah! moment to come) – I just had to get the needles out.

It’s been far too long since I made anything for Miss E, and I had a couple of huge balls of Aran yarn that were given to me a couple of years ago – they were just asking to be brought out of the cupboard and given their moment.

As you can see, I have just finished the back and front – now for the sleeves – Miss E has gone off pink (Whaaaaaaat!!!!??????!!!….) so I hope she’ll like the colour.

It’s a great pattern from Hayfield and a bit crumpled and torn, I knitted from it for my kids thirty-odd years ago – Sadly I can’t share it with you because of copyright  – but my little creative mind is whirring away and wondering if I can create a crochet version – what do you think?
