A Vase on Monday – Hearts and Flowers

1 1a Heart-shaped petals of red campions 1band shiny buttercups, weeded from the garden, put in a vase found in a charity shop for 50p. flowers Pink and orange is my favourite colour combination and often crops up in creative projects WD1         12035656_12084850-rg23_bAfter all I am a child of 60’s psychedelia.3     The vase sits on a rag-rug red heart in front of a quirky cupboard bought from a local craft show. The heart theme continues with the ‘Trail of Hearts’ pot plant, grown from a cutting given to me by my dear friend, Helen.

  2. Your vase and flowers look great 🙂 they just exploded out of the computer – thank you it really cheered me up. I love the 1960s pink/orange colour combination too and all your crafts – it all looks great.

  3. Love everything you have shown us today. I used red campion and cow parsley in a blue and white jug in our holiday cottage in Cornwall last week. It is good to find a new blog, I think I’m going to enjoy yours.

    • Welcome aboard! So good to have you along – now pull up a chair, I’ll put the kettle on and you can have a leisurely look around Wild Daffodil !
I love the sound of the cow parsley and campion arrangement – delicate and airy. I was told that hairspray on cow parsley stops it from dropping so much, but I’ve never tried it.

  4. I love pink and orange together! (There was still a lot of it left as I was growing up 😉 And the campions are lovely flowers… btw, I just found I had missed your comment from last week – I’ve replied now, but… ouch! Thanks for visiting my blog 🙂

    • Yes, and hot pink seems to be everywhere now doesn’t it – I’m thrilled about that! I couldn’t find your post for last week when I went to look to see what I’d said! (I must have forgotten to click the ‘follow comment’ button – could you leave me a link to last week’s post please so I can revisit. xxx

  5. Love those colours – all of them! That cupboard was a great find but I love the way you have grouped your other props too. And of course I love that you have used what other people might call ‘weeds’ and showed they can bring pleasure just as much as cultivated plants. I have pink campion here too, which I am more than happy to see. Thanks for sharing today.
