Heart-shaped petals of red campions 
and shiny buttercups, weeded from the garden, put in a vase found in a charity shop for 50p. 
Pink and orange is my favourite colour combination and often crops up in creative projects 
After all I am a child of 60’s psychedelia.
The vase sits on a rag-rug red heart in front of a quirky cupboard bought from a local craft show. The heart theme continues with the ‘Trail of Hearts’ pot plant, grown from a cutting given to me by my dear friend, Helen.

Love everything you have shown us today. I used red campion and cow parsley in a blue and white jug in our holiday cottage in Cornwall last week. It is good to find a new blog, I think I’m going to enjoy yours.

I love the sound of the cow parsley and campion arrangement – delicate and airy. I was told that hairspray on cow parsley stops it from dropping so much, but I’ve never tried it.

Love those colours – all of them! That cupboard was a great find but I love the way you have grouped your other props too. And of course I love that you have used what other people might call ‘weeds’ and showed they can bring pleasure just as much as cultivated plants. I have pink campion here too, which I am more than happy to see. Thanks for sharing today.

Thank you Vashti. I keep most of the walls a creamy white so that I can go crazy with colour for all the bits and pieces in the room – some visitors are a bit nonplussed (English meaning of the word – I think US meaning is different) by my ‘style’, I think!

Your sense of color is wonderful…I would never think to put these together but oh the fabulous colors in that last picture are perfection…and I have thought about using “weeds” in vases more too and many are lovely….
