Day 11 of this ………..*! virus and I’ve given in.
After the first 3 days of non-stop sleep, I’ve been trying each day to do bits in the house and garden between resting. Having heard from others who have had this and who tell me it has lasted between 4 – 6 weeks before feeling on top form again, I’ve given in.
Today I am going to be mainly doodling.
And I need colour to cheer me up!

There are some great teachers on the net. Alisa Burke is probably the best and she is having a summer sale of her mini courses at the moment. Have a go – it is fun to play around with them. You can download this doodle, one of my starter prompts: https://daffodilwild.wordpress.com/2013/04/13/download-a-doodle/
And Daisy Yellow is very inspiring: http://daisyyellowart.com
It is the Daisy Yellow blog that set me off on the doodling trail.
Have fun!

Oops. That would be “zen-doodling”, of course. Blasted exclamation marks. That’s why I never use them. !!! Roar.

Get well soon – hope you are back on top form soon. The coloured doodle is lovely but I think I prefer the B&W:)

Thank you for your kind wishes and for letting me know which you prefer, I love to know what appeals and what doesn’t so much. It’s fun to share creative thoughts.

Poor you! I hope you start to feel better soon – viruses can take ages to shift. The teacup doodle is fantastic and must be very absorbing to draw 🙂

It’s really lovely. Especially like the little pink hearts. Sounds like a horrid virus. Glad you’ve found something to keep up your spirits.

Thanks Judy. Yes doodling is very absorbing and relaxing so I can forget about everything else and just enjoy. With BBC iPlayer on in the background I’m a reasonably happy (coughing) bunny. Have you been listening to Book at Bedtime? It’s gripping!!!!

Sounds like the virus I had in January and yes, I didn’t feel well for 2 months.

Gosh Christina, I’m so sorry to hear you had the horrid thing! It’s a comfort to know i’m not alone and I’m not being a complete wimp! Obviously less of a comfort to know how long it might go on for – although best to be prepared and not to have unrealistic expectations for myself. Thank you for sharing your experience. I expect it was such a relief when you finally felt well again! ❤
