Oh my word, that this photo prompt of PEACE should come right now is serendipitously perfect. It has caused me to wonder which way to go with it (thank you to Judy for her suggestion ) – how on earth to represent PEACE in one photograph – thinking of how we use the word in everyday language:
At Peace Peace be with you
Peaceful Love and Peace
Peace and quiet Rest in Peace
A rose called Peace
I have mentioned before that for some years I was privileged to host the international camp of the Dances of Universal Peace – such magical times. There is a particular dance for peace that is so beautifully explained and danced here:
And the prayer we sang at the end of each dance session: May All Beings Be Well:

Lovely tribute, your haiku is very peaceful and serene. The photo of the beach and foosteps is perfect and a beautifully put together arrangement of all parts of your post. Very sad news of your recent loss, sincere condolences.

Thank you Vashti, it feels good to be back in the haiku harness, although the brain is still complaining at having to do anything remotely taxing. So glad you like the photo, it is going to appear on my wall printed LARGE very soon!

I am sorry for your loss. It is a lovely post to dedicate to your brother. There is a moving poem by Henry van Dyke – called ‘Gone from my Sight’. It describes standing on a sea shore watching a boat disappear but how on the other side people are seeing that boat arrive – it reminds me of your lovely haiku.

Thank you so much Cathy. I’m glad you like the footsteps – me too! It is so great when a photo seems to hit the spot, I might print this one large as a secret little memorial picture. And thank you for your wish for peace, it means a lot. ❤
