My entry for our photo challenge this week. Prompt RIVER.
One of my very favourite places on earth, where the River Solva flows into the sea at Solva, Nr. St. Davids, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
This is rather a hasty post and the first time in about 2 years that I have not combined it with Ronovan’s Haiku Challenge.
My Mum has been in and out of hospital this week and my sister and I are taking it in turns to be with her 24hours a day. Nothing life threatening but she needs to stay in bed and she is not too happy about that!
Looking forward to seeing everyone’s ‘River’s when I have a moment to catch up.
I will get a Round-up together, but not today. No idea when!

It really is Denis, lots of wonderful coastal walks – I’ll be there again in September, so looking forward to it.

That is tough for you and your sister. I hope your Mum improves swiftly. Lovely picture of somewhere I have never been.

Pembrokeshire is a delight Dorris – do get there one day if you can.
Mum is now back in her lovely care home and i can sleep in my own bed – as the saying goes – ‘Old age is not for sissies’!

And there is little alternative!
Glad you are all back in your own beds, there’s no place like home.

Thank you so much Barbara. Mum is no longer in hospital which is a blessing as with Alzheimers she was frightened most of the time she was there. I’m so looking forward to getting back to Solva in a few weeks time.

It does indeed look a lovely place. Sorry your Mum has been poorly and do make sure you and your sister get some rest too as you will be able to support your Mum better that way

Thank you Cathy, I will be going to Solva very soon to recharge my batteries. i’m so lucky that my sister and I work as a good team and we support each other to get the rest we need. Thankfully Mum is back in her Care Home now and settled. I spent last night in my own bed – bliss!

Solva is such a pretty little harbour, isn’t it? It is the climb up the Gribbin and down the other side that gets me every time though, but always worth the effort.
Hope your Mum is better soon.

The Gribbin, didn’t know it was called that – is that towards St Elvis bay – we did that last summer with my grandchildren – such glorious views. So nice to know you love it too Deborah. Thank you for your kind wishes. ❤

Sorry, put one too many b’s in that! It’s Gribin. Shame Face Icon.
Yes, it is the point above the harbour heading east towards St Elvis {the size of that cromlech capstone always gets me!} Beautiful views, some of the best in the county.
