Mrs. Snail wrote a post in response to the tragic event in Manchester this week, she always has such wise words to say, calling us to perform some random acts of kindness this Saturday whilst she is in Manchester.
Then I saw this page on Facebook – #AHEART4MCR
The hearts above are made from the pattern Mrs Snail shared and wrapped today to send to Beth Clarke in Stockport for her Heart Drop on Monday 5th June.
I did alter the pattern slightly, using a magic ring in the centre and just two chains in each corner (but maybe the bottom point could have three).
Beth has said that all hearts she receives from all over the world will be collected for another Heart Drop at some point in the future, so after I have made some for Nanacathy’s Wedding Bunting I will send some more.
Teeny tiny random acts of crafty kindness creating a network of love across the globe – there’s a lot of it about!
Sending love and hearty hugs to all of you.
❤
Update:
If you wish to send Beth some Hearts she is happy to receive sewn ones, knitted ones wooden ones ……etc etc

Feeling the crafty kindness already. Many many thanks. I lived for a year in Manchester, and attended Manchester Poly whilst there, so many of us with so many connections. God Bless Us All.

Is there information on this other than FB? I’ve had to temporarily delete my profile for a few weeks but would love to know more, if it is other mediums can be used, where to send, and by when etc.
Half my family is from Manchester, and with my name being Hebrew for bee and the Manchester Bee symbol, I have multiple ties to Manchester, so would like to do something.

Hi Deb, Here is what Beth has written on FB, she has since posted that she will do the first Heart Drop on 5th June and again in a month’s time, I do hope all your family are safe and well:
“After a huge response to my idea of #AHEART4MCR I’ve decided to create this group so you can follow the progress. Please feel free to share pictures of your makes, where you are from and any tributes you might wish to make.
You can post any hearts to;

Myself, my mum and some friends will take all of your hearts and distribute them around the city centre within the next 2 weeks.
Any overseas members, don’t worry, whenever they arrive, I will make sure they get to the people of Manchester.
Thank you all for such an amazing response.
Let’s fill the city with one thing these people can’t kill…. LOVE! ❤️💛💚💙💜”

Bless you, thank you. I will not be able to make the first round {I am without help until June 5, so cannot get to the post office} but will get some together to send on that date for her to drop later. Mine will be wood and paper though, I guess that will be okay.
Cousins not answering phone so assuming they are abroad on an extended half term {as we so often do in the UK!}

Yes, wood and paper will be fine – there are many and various on the Facebook Page – she might be on Instagram too, I didn’t think to look. I do hope you hear from your family soon. ❤
