The Kaffe Fassett exhibition, currently on at Mottisfont, Hampshire is beautifully staged.
Some of the rooms are light and bright and some are dimly lit with rich and cosy colours – so dark it was difficult to take photos of the wonderful quilting.

The exhibit *really* highlights his distinctive use of rich color! I wish I could visit this show in person!

It is staged perfectly. A wonderful exhibition. If you click on the link there is a really good virtual visit to be had. xx

Looks interesting, maybe I should try to get there if life allows, though walking across the fields may be less appealing this time of year!

The exhibition is on until mid-January. It is a wonderful place to spend the day in.

Wow! What a combination of deep, vibrant and moody. Colors are very evocative, aren’t’ they? Are you familiar with the American artist Sol LeWitt? His pieces use color to great effect.

Thank you so much Laurie. I didn’t know about Sol LeWitt – I do now! I’ve just spent a happy time looking at his wonderful work – just up my street – can’t think why he has eluded me up til now.

So much to know and discover in this world. As for Sol LeWitt…my heart leaps whenever I see his work.
