It is my birthday today, and look what a lovely card my daughter and her children made for me. Particularly love the portrait by Little Miss M (7).

One to frame! What a treasure. I read one of your replies and came across “sparrow’s fart.” Never heard that expression and it sure made me giggle. A very happy birthday to you. Wish I lived closer so that I could take you out to lunch or have you over for tea. I know we would have a great time chatting. Anyway, good wishes from across the pond.

Happy Birthday. What a lovely card. The portrait is wonderful. I always think children’s portraits are very revealing. You are obviously seen as slim; very happy; welcoming and have beautiful, colourful clothes. π

Happy birthday! What a fabulous card. I can only hope that my future grandchildren would say half those things about me, including “bonkers”. Fabulous and yes definitely for framing.

Lots of lovely descriptions of you there although I did laugh that ‘taxi driver’ , in particular, has been highlighted.
Definitely a keeper.

HaHa! Yes! That was written by Miss E (12) who I take to swimming and gym each week – since I have to get up at sparrow’s fart to get her to swimming I was especially pleased with that one!
