I took it on a walk this afternoon. I went for a walk ‘with’ Cathy.
We walk together even though we are miles apart.
Past the field to the woods
where the blubells are just coming into flower
Cathy and I enjoy nudging each other to get out there, enjoying this beautiful Spring.
I’m missing seeing the bluebells in Ashridge this year

Yes, they are early aren’t they. I used to think of 5th May for bluebells, might have to change that.

Thank you Cee, I had only just read your email about Diagonal Lines when I walked out and saw that field – i might not have noticed the patterns otherwise.

I saw my first bluebell of the year yesterday in ahedge bank but the ones in my wood are not out yet. The pattern of diagonal lines on that field is really interesting – what an odd way to harrow! Perfect for your competition though. We have had so many lovely days for walking.

Yes, the harrowing is a bit out of the ordinary isn’t it.
So many lovely days …… and time to really enjoy them. 🙂

I’m with Kate on missing bluebells but we will shortly have wild sweet peas galore which almost (but not quite) make up for them.

The Spring really seems to be springing into action at the moment. Just remembered I had intended to try to get to Exbury Gardens this Spring to see the rhododendrons, azaleas and bluebells. Sigh!

I am really enjoying having the time and attention to focus on blossom this April.
Yes, all those places yet to be explored …… maybe next year.

This Spring seems to be all the more crystal clear and I’m noticing details of blossom more. It was so lovely to walk knowing that we were walking together, changing time and space – like magic!
I wonder if the butterfly was a Clouded Yellow: https://www.ywt.org.uk/wildlife-explorer/invertebrates/butterflies/clouded-yellow
