The Knitting and Stitching Show

Yikes! It is taking me an age to sort out all the photos.

Whilst I am going through them all I thought you might like to see what I bought when I was there.

I spotted this stand on the first day

and took a photo so that I would not forget to go back … so on the last day I did and..TaDah!

I got this beauty – it is a bit too long for me, so I might be brave enough to cut it off, up to the pockets, or I might not.

The beauty of it is, it is reversible and so there is a whole new colourway for me to play with.

Elizabeth Gash is delightful. She makes the knitwear.Β She had run out of leaflets, so I took a photo of her last one

  2. You look fabulous, and please don’t cut that down, as I think the proportions of the garment are right. It’s nice and swoopy on you. I’m 5’4″, and I’d totally wear something long like that without feeling it was swamping me. I love that it’s reversible too, and the interior is different to make it suitable for a very different use. Clever you to find it!

    • Thank you Kate. I seem to be out voted on the cutting it short! Ha! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
I do love it and although generally I don’t really like shopping, I will be looking for some colours to go with the mustardy orange side.

  3. I agree with the others – the length is good and you look great in it! I love all those colourful clothes on the stand. I wouldn’t have been able to wait until the last day…. πŸ˜‰

  4. It’s hard to tell with what you’re wearing underneath but I think the length would look great with a pair of knee high boots for example.
I’ll bet you had a hard time choosing which one to buy.

    • Maybe it was a good thing I waited until the last day as there really was only this one with pink and turquoise in the pattern, otherwise I might have had a struggle – I’m not good at decisions at the best of times!
I was wearing a T-shirt and trousers underneath, with trainers. Can’t wear heels of any sort anymore.
Thank you for the suggestion – something to ponder on.

  5. Agreeing with Claire93 – length is fine!
I’d be wearing the inside out as I love orange/red colours.
Eager to see what else you captured in photos.

  6. I think your coat is just the right length, and looks splendid! I don’t know if I’d have waited until the last day of the show before buying ^^

    • Thank you Claire. It was a bit of a risk leaving it til the last day, but I was totally focussed on the Stitchbook Collective Stand that I was helping on, and in no fit state to make decisions!
