Scrap Happy: The Butterfly Effect

I am joining Kate and her Happy Scrappers this month with my contribution to a collaborative textile project called The Butterfly Effect.

I am a member of the Stitchbook Collective, but this project is open to anyone who enjoys a bit of relaxing simple hand stitching.

I got these intriguing kitsand have made a start on some panels that will be made into godet panels for the skirt of a dress

Helen has provided old sari scraps called Chindi. We are to iron them, attach to some fabric she has obtained from old sample books

and then needle felt and stitch into them.

I’m looking forward to a bit a slow stitching and hope to share progress next month – that’s if life doesn’t get in the way, as it has been doing recently!
