photo challenge prompt: STITCH

The photo is of my 8 year old granddaughter who comes to me each Wednesday as she is being educated at home. It is fabulous for me to see how she is blossoming as we are coming up to the one year anniversary.

~

My computer has finally died. I have to make some big decisions about where to go next. I do not find it easy blogging from the iPad, so I will probably be a little quiet for a few weeks, very frustrating!

Next week the photo prompt is

ZERO

      Thank you Melissa. I need to get on with buying a new computer, but I’m laid low with a lingering virus at the moment and can’t face making such an expensive decision until I’m feeling well again. My brain will need to be in tip-top form to deal with the change.

    Well I have put together a picture for this weeks photo challenge. As you will see I have no lovely memories of time by the sewing machine.
    I smiled when I read that you might be quiet for a few weeks, (thanks to the tech difficulties) and that next weeks challenge is zero!
    Funny when you think about it.

      You are right, the prompt words were a gift this week for me. Any opportunity for me to be a proud Granny is ok with me!
      So glad to know you enjoyed the challenge this week, I really enjoy the twists and turns I take to get all the elements to work together in those few words, sometimes it feels like a little bit of alchemy, a touch of magic.

    Nice haiku and so young at the machine. I learned to sew from my mom, all three of us at the same time.:) My poor mom couldn’t sew anything in peace without one of us at each elbow and the 3rd one in front of the machine. By the time we started going to parties we made a new outfit for every weekend!!! Thanks for the flashback:)

    I started sewing with my grandmother when I was seven too! Weekends were spent sewing and cooking and they are some of my absolute besestt memories of childhood. I have always been, and will always be, grateful for the world of creativity she opened up to me. Only I never wore as cool an outfit while I was being taught 😀 You are a real blessing, I just know how special this time must be for the both of you.
