This month crept up on me!
I had all sorts of plans for different ‘Cases’ – they did not happen.
Here is an archive photo from way back in 2014 when I went to Abu Dhabi for 2 weeks.
How much yarn would you take for a two week holiday??!!
I’d love to see your take on ‘CASE’, please leave a link in the comments.
The challenge stays open all month.

Very neatly packed, your case is! Please tell me you were planning on making lots of hats … otherwise, the head is rather creepy! 🙂 Here is my version of Case: https://gillyflowerfaire.wordpress.com/2018/09/07/case/

Ha! Yes, very creepy. I design patterns for knitted wigs (see Etsy shop) and was hoping to knit up a few wigs for sale and design a few more.
Love your entry of vintage needle cases.

What a lot of yarn? Did you manage to use it all?

I used about a third in my design experiments. I would have used more but I got into playing with shells on the beach instead.

😆 I assume you did add a few items of clothing? Abu Dahbi is indeed hot…..😉

I did have some clothes with me too! But very few as I was staying with my brother-in-law for rest and recuperation and did not intend doing anything adventurous. He was at work much of the time and I had the beach to myself, it was perfect! I returned home with my batteries fully recharged and plenty of room in my case for the shells I collected.

Good grief! What would the security guy at the airport have thought, to see that head in your luggage!?

I know Kerry! I was expecting to be called aside any minute! They obviously did not X-ray the bags!

Hmm, this one has me stumped as to what to do … for the time being! 🙂 Shall have to put my thinking cap on.

It stumped me and I devised the challenge! 😉

Not as many as you. I only took three balls and came back with 10. Can’t resist a yarn shop.

I didn’t take any yarn on holiday but I took LOTS of embroidery to do 🙂 My link is https://thecraftycreek.com/2018/09/04/septembers-photo-challenge/

Most of my questions and thoughts were answered in the comments, I’m glad you had a good holiday back then and that most of your time was spent on the beach, thereby negating any necessity for a lot of clothing 🙂

HaHa! Yes. I had gone to stay with my brother-in-law who was working out there. I needed a complete rest and his apartment was right on the beach. It was a perfect holiday at the time. The shells used in my Silly Saturdays mostly came from there.

Oh my! That is oddly fascinating! Now I want to know- did you knit any of it? :o)

About one third of it as far as I remember. I got distracted by the shells on the beach.

Then it was well worth bringing!!

Yes, I think so. I panic that I will not have enough to do in quiet moments, but that never actually happens as there is always something to hand wherever i go that I can be creative with.

Not much to do in Abu Dhabi then? I would fill my case with books! Here’s my link.

I was needing a rest and hoped to spend long hours under a canopy knitting. As it turned out my energy returned quite quickly in the sunshine, and I mostly played with shells I found on the beach.

I was intending to spend my time designing knitted and crocheted wigs for my Etsy shop Laurie. I was a bit worried about the case being X-rayed!
